Langtang was majorly affected by Gorkha earthquake and now it is almost rebuilt. After nearly two years of earthquake in 2015, Langtang region is finally ready to welcome national as well as international visitors whole heartedly.

Langtang Himalayan range is equally beautiful and majestic same as before earthquake and still Ganesh himal range and glacier’s attractions are entacted. Earthquake had demolished Langtang village, the structures that were there, the lost lives and departed souls can’t be regenerated, but local people of Langtang have not given up their hopes. The broken Langtang region is getting back on its feet by reconstructing the teahouses, monuments and other infrastructures. Now, anyone can go there and see the beauty of nature with insights into rich culture along with sad stories of earthquake and inspirational thoughts of rejuvenating Langtang.

That’s why even New York Times have listed Langtang as must visit site in 2017. The article was for the travelers to get to know about offers, trek to elevated landscapes and traditional villages.

In just 6 days, most of us can get there at Kyangin Valley and return to Kathmandu, so it is on bucketlist of domestic as well as foreign tourists. There is an ancient monastery called Kyangin Gompa and the valley was named after it. The monastery is one major highlight of this place which is as beautiful from inside as it looks crumbling from outside.

Government representative from TAAN, Karna Lama states that the tourism in Langtang was severly affected by earthquake because of exaggerated negative viral news from media. After disaster, there was problem of road and transportation, but now with financial support equals 15 million ruppes from government, trekking routes are back on track to welcome trekkers.

To spread the news that Langtang is safe for tourism, in 25th of April 2017, Langtang is organizing international marathon.
